For most of us, teamwork is a part of everyday life. Whether it’s at home, in the community, or at work, we are often expected to be a functional part of a performing team. This course will encourage learners to explore the different aspects of a team, as well as ways in which they can become a highly-effective team performer.

For organisations wanting to train team members we offer a group enrolment for self-paced online training or 1 – 2 day workshop as onsite-group or Virtual Instructor-Led Training.
Group On-site Training
Requires a minimum of 8 participants

Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
Requires a minimum of 8 participants
- 1 Day Workshop VILT Training via ZOOM/MS Teams
- 4 weeks access to the online Teamwork and Team Building course
Key Outcomes:
• Describe the concept of a team, and its factors for success.
• Explain the four phases of the Tuckman team development model and define their characteristics.
• List the three types of teams.
• Identify actions to take as a leader – and as a follower for each of the four phases (Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing).
• Discuss the uses, benefits and disadvantages of various team-building activities.
• Describe several team-building activities that you can use, and in what settings.
• Apply strategies for setting and leading team meetings.
• Define problem-solving strategies using the Six Thinking Hats model and one consensus-building approach to solving team problems.
• List actions to do and those to avoid when encouraging teamwork.

- We are accredited with the IACET. On successful completion, learners receive a formal certificate confirming all details of their achievement.
Technical Requirements (Computer or Mobile phone)
- A computer with Microsoft Windows operating system (98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 8) or Mac OS X (10.14 Leopard or higher)
- A computer with Microsoft Office 2000 or higher
- A high speed internet connection and a web browser (Firefox or chrome are highly recommended as there are incompatibility issues with Internet Explorer)
- Adobe Reader (free software)

Complete all course content and pass the online exam with a minimum of 80%. |
About the exam
- You are required to pass an online multiple-choice exam. The exam compromises of 1 exam.
- The exam is a timed, open-book exam.
