Lean Six Sigma
Who should sign up for Lean Six Sigma?
Whether you are looking to advance your career, build stronger problem-solving teams, or drive measurable improvements across your organisation, Lean Six Sigma offers a proven path to success. It enhances your professional value while helping organisations achieve a competitive edge through efficiency and quality
Why Lean Six Sigma?
Lean Six Sigma provides practical tools to improve quality, eliminate waste, and solve problems through data-driven decision making. For employees, it means stronger capabilities and greater career prospects. For organisations, it delivers efficiency, consistency, and a sustainable competitive advantage
What is the difference between Lean and DMAIC?
Lean focuses on streamlining processes by removing waste, helping organisations work faster and more efficiently.
DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) is a Six Sigma method that reduces variation and improves quality, enabling organisations to deliver predictable outcomes.
What are the prerequisites/do I have to take the “belts” in order?
At TLC, you don’t have to complete Yellow Belt before Green Belt or Green Belt before Black Belt. You can register at the Belt level that matches your role, experience, and organisational requirements.
Do I get a certificate after I complete this course?
Yes. You receive an internationally recognised electronic certificate, which you can share on LinkedIn and tag TLC, as well as a printed certificate. These recognise your skills as an individual and demonstrate value to your organisation.
I work full time and cannot take time off for courses. Can I study after hours?
Yes. Self-paced online courses are designed so you can study after hours or on weekends. This flexibility benefits employees with busy schedules and organisations that cannot release staff during working hours.

What is the difference between SigmaXL and Minitab for online Green and Black Belt courses?
Both are statistical software tools used only in Green and Black Belt courses. SigmaXL is an Excel add-in and is included in your course fee. Minitab offers more advanced functionality, often used by organisations managing complex projects.
Is the software included in your online course fee? Or do I need to purchase the statistical software?
Yes. A SigmaXL licence is included in your course fee. If you or your organisation prefer Minitab, it must be purchased separately. We offer separate Green Belt and Black Belt courses featuring practical examples in SigmaXL or Minitab, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your learning needs.
How long do I have to complete a project for Green or Black Belt?
For Green Belt, you have 6 months from the time you begin the programme.
For Black Belt, you have 12 months to complete the project requirements
What happens if I run out of time to complete my project?
You can apply for an extension for a small fee, ensuring you don’t lose progress and your organisation still benefits from completed projects.
What happens if I run out of time to complete my online course?
Extensions are available so you can complete your learning without starting over, giving both individuals and organisations flexibility. See full terms and conditions here
Can I pay off my course in instalments?
Yes. We offer payment plans for self-paced online Green Belt and Black Belt courses, making it easier for individuals to invest in their careers. See terms and Conditions here
Do I require to do Green Belt in order to do Black Belt?
You can go straight to Black Belt if your experience, skills, or organisational role requires it.
Do I have to take an exam with Six Sigma courses?
Yes. All Belt courses include online exams to test your knowledge. You must achieve a minimum pass mark of 80% per phase. This ensures employees gain the skills needed for organisations to see measurable benefits.

What is the difference between Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and online self-paced training?
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) is live, interactive training led by an expert facilitator. It’s especially valuable for organisations with employees in multiple locations who need to learn together and stay aligned. Your team receives real-time guidance, engages in discussions, and works through activities simultaneously, no matter where they are.
Self-paced online training gives individuals the flexibility to study anytime. It’s ideal for balancing work and learning, with instructor-led videos, narrations, and interactive activities that guide you through the material step by step.
Both delivery modes benefit organisations by reducing downtime while still developing employees and building competitive advantage.
