KZN based business improvement service provider selected as winner of the emerging business category.

Training Leadership Consulting (TLC) a local Pietermaritzburg based, internationally accredited, training and consulting company has won the 2014 KZN Regional Productivity SA Award for the Emerging Business Category. TLC’s growth and success as one of South Africa’s first Lean and Six Sigma training and consulting companies was recognized by the panel of adjudicators at an awards ceremony held on the 14th October at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel in Durban.

During the recent ceremony, Productivity SA affirmed that “constant and never ending improvement is a philosophy at TLC. They are custodians of a methodology that has put them at the top of the list of service providers in SA and abroad in terms of productivity and business improvement. TLC is a focused, successful and visionary company. Their resilience, flexibility and forward planning will ensure they remain a relevant entity in the future.”

Productivity SA is a Public Entity and its governance board comprises of representatives from labour, government and business. The annual awards promote productivity, raise awareness in growing our economy and increase SA’s competitiveness. Since the mid-seventies, Productivity SA has awarded more than a 100 different enterprises both in the public and private sectors for their efforts in improving and sustaining productivity in South Africa.

Upon accepting the award, Debbie McCarthy Director and Founder of TLC, acknowledged the hard work and commitment of the TLC family and continued perseverance towards improving productivity in South Africa. Highlighting that critical to their success was the ability to ” truly understand the needs of business and deliver genuine value.”

As winners of the Regional award, TLC has been nominated as a finalist for the National Productivity SA awards ceremony to be held in Johannesburg later this month.
