Deployment Strategy
A proven roadmap and structured approach to managing a deployment
Our recommended deployment approach and roadmap is managed over a period of 18-24 months. The duration depends on the size of the organisation and scope. We follow a proven approach: Initiate, Plan, Execute and Sustain. There are phased activities and desired outcomes per phase. It is critial to gain commitment from your leadership team before you start building your deployment strategy and plan. We will customise a specific approach during a 2 day strategy session. Here we will discuss:
Your vision for your Continuous Improvement programme
Scope and goals
Stakeholder participation
Change Management strategy
Programme Governance
HR Policy
Learner campaign strategy
Post learning activities
Report and certification
Corporate branding
YOUR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT JOURNEY
Once you have established the programme governance, HR/Finance roles and policies and you have linked the key measures to your performance management metrics you are able to initiate the change management programme to share the vision and create the need for embarking on this journey. This will typically take you 3 months before you can initiate the training. We recommend you start with training your Executives on our Breakthrough thinking workshop to break existing thought patterns and enable innovative thinking together with an understanding of the key lean principles. We then advise you initiate the Lean training for your managers and team members will attend our one day overview workshop, General Awareness to ensure that there is a common language and understanding of the lean tools. Your managers will start delivering on initial improvement opportunities after 3 months of starting your journey where you will start tracking the benefits and savings. Ongoing coaching, training, support and mentoring is recommended throughout the programme. The type of training (Lean or Lean Six Sigma) will be selected based on multiple factors (eg. Industry sector, business problems you are solving, data required) that will be considered during the scoping of this initiative. Typically after 12 months you will start seeing the benefits flow through the business and to your customers.
